Cambridge English Language Assessment changes its name

As of 21 September 2017 Cambridge English Language Assessment changed its name to Cambridge Assessment English.

The new name makes it clearer that Cambridge Assessment English is part of Cambridge Assessment, with English at the heart of activity.

Cambridge Assessment is a non-teaching department of the University of Cambridge and carries out leading-edge academic and operational research on assessment in education. As part of Cambridge Assessment, Cambridge Assessment English shares the biggest assessment research team of its kind in Europe, and unrivalled depth of experience in national educational systems, international education and English language learning.

Cambridge Assessment English supports and learns from teachers, schools and governments. The new brand is rooted in its purpose: to help people learn English and prove their skills to the world.

Cambridge Assessment English is also introducing Cambridge English Qualifications as a new way to describe its in-depth examinations so that they are clearer for learners and parents to understand.
