CaMLA becomes Michigan Language Assessment

 

 

Cambridge/Michigan Language Assessment (CaMLA) becomes Michigan Language Assessment. The new brand better reflects Michigan’s 65-year history as developers of outstanding American English language tests. The Michigan brand is one that is recognized across the world as a beacon of excellence and is associated with one of the top public universities in the USA.

Michigan Language Assessment have refreshed their products with new logos, changed some names, and will launch new products. CaMLA Young Learners Test of English (YLTE) is now Michigan Young Learners English (MYLE). The CaMLA English Placement Test is now the Michigan English Placement Test. And in November 2018 a new exam will be offered - MET Go!- a new test for teens, which completes the Michigan test portfolio. This means that for the first time there will be a Michigan examination for every step of a learner’s English language journey, from children in elementary schools to adults studying in higher education.

Michigan Language Assessment remain committed to investing in research to ensure all of their tests are valid, reliable, fair and accessible to all learners of English. In addition, in association with Cambridge Assessment English will produce, support, and make available the best American English tests.
