Candidates score high in English and German

The Ministry of Education has released statistics regarding candidates’ scores in the latest panhellenic university entrance exams in foreign languages and other special subjects which are obligatory for gaining entrance to specific university departments.

In the English language the percentage of candidates who scored between 15 and 20 was 31,04%. Last year only 10,44% of exam takers scored between this grade scale.

In the French language the percentage of candidates who scored between 15 and 20 went down - 10,55% from 14,23% last year.

In the German language 34,01% of candidates scored between the 15-20 grade scale. Last year 25,38% of test takers scored between 15-20. 

In Italian the 15-20 score went slightly down: 61,01% from 64,59% last year.

The same applies to Spanish which saw a decrease in the 15-20 grade scale.

This year the percentage was 54,48% while last year it was 66,66%.
