Changes in the administration of the Cambridge English exams in Greece

Athens, 19 September 2024

PRESS RELEASE

Cambridge University Press & Assessment has announced some important changes to the way they run Cambridge English exams in Greece.

From November 2024, Cambridge English Qualifications (Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers, A2 Key, B1 Preliminary, B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency) will be administered across Greece through three authorised master exam centres – British Council, Hellenic American Union and QLS.

“We are making this change so that we and our centres can provide the best possible support for learners, teachers and schools across Greece,” commented Catherine Lloyd, Business Development Director for UKI & East Europe at Cambridge. She continued: ‘We have worked with schools and teachers in Greece for over 80 years, and our commitment to working with them is now stronger than ever. We’re looking forward to helping the next generation of students in Greece learn English and prove their skills to the world’.

Cambridge says the new arrangements will help them meet the growing demand for Cambridge English exams including Cambridge English Qualifications Digital, which gives unprecedented flexibility to schools. Preparation Centres in the region can also see paper-based exam dates for 2024 and 2025.
