Presentation Skills are an integral part of 21st Century Skills, a fundamental requirement for professionals and experts of all levels.
Learn and Teach Presentation Skills and Make the difference in your classroom!
Presenting information in a clear and effective way so as to get your message or opinion across is an important skill required in almost every field, whether you are a teacher, student, administrator or executive. Delivering a captivating presentation requires a lot of preparation and a few tips to help the speaker create a solid basis on the function, the form and the content of the presentation as well as the qualities as a speaker.
This three-hour workshop is divided in two parts aiming at developing both teacher and student presentation skills.
The first section will focus on communicating your message. Examples of working with inspiring templates and visuals (function), deciding on intentions and structures (form), managing topics (content) will be discussed. Working on speaker characteristics and attitudes in order to present effectively under particular circumstances will also be considered.
The second section will concentrate on a step-by step guide to prepare your students to present and communicate in terms of personalizing a story (speaking skills), selecting information (listening skills), developing arguments (writing skills), summarizing and identifying details (reading skills) as well as language accuracy and fluency.
Participants need to bring their own device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) with a slideware program already available (Power Point, Keynote, Quickoffice).
Internet access will be provided.
