PeopleCert Scholarships 3rd CycleAnnouncement

Education is the foundation of every society and culture, and PeopleCert, a global leader in the development of best practice frameworks and certifications for professional and language skills, with a presence in over 200 countries, is actively investing in supporting the next generation of Greek diaspora.

PeopleCert's commitment to supporting the new generation culminates through the scholarship programme “Honouring our Teachers from Constantinople”, established in 2023 in partnership with the Ecumenical Federation of Constantinopolitans.

The programme honours distinguished teachers of the Greek diaspora for their invaluable contribution to education and offers financial support to young individuals of origin from Istanbul, Imvros, and Tenedos, assisting with their postgraduate and doctoral studies. Since the programme's initiation, six scholarships and five honorary awards have been granted, along with the offer of global PRINCE2® certifications.

Applications for the 3rd cycle have now opened, and interested parties may submit their applications at peoplecert.org/scholarships by 15th March.

The scholarships, which may amount to up to €8,000 per student, are available for the 2024-2025 academic year or the following one, provided the applicant has been accepted into a relevant academic program. They are available to students, of up to second-generation origins from Istanbul, Imvros, and Tenedos, regardless of their residence.

With a vision to empower the new generation and preserve the cultural identity of the Greek people, PeopleCert Founder and CEO Byron Nicolaides, who was born, raised, and educated in Istanbul, is implementing initiatives that combine the promotion of Greek education, the modernisation of school infrastructures, and the strengthening of diaspora ties with their roots. His contribution has been recognised by the community and the historic schools of Istanbul, which have honoured Byron Nicolaides for his work and dedication.
