Starting in 2021, PeopleCert will provide English language exams to individuals wanting to obtain a Private Hire Driver’s License with Transport for London.
London, United Kingdom: PeopleCert, a global leader in the development and delivery of examinations, is delighted to announce the signing of an exclusive, multi-year contract with Transport for London, to provide LanguageCert English language exams to individuals sitting for their London Private Hire Driver’s License.
LanguageCert (a member of PeopleCert Group) is an Ofqual regulated awarding body dedicated to language skills assessment and certification.
This multi-year agreement forms part of Transport for London’s new licensing procedures to be introduced later in 2021 and aims to ensure that the English language skills of potential private hire drivers across London are assessed using state of the art, secure and recognised testing procedures.
Potential drivers will be required to sit a Speaking and Listening testing solution to certify B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
