ACE TEFL is a centre for teachers of English as a foreign language: a place where teachers can learn, develop and get qualified. ACE TEFL was founded in January 2021 by George Vassilakis and Alexander Makarios, two teacher educators with many years of experience of working with teachers in various contexts and capacities.
ACE TEFL offers a range of services to prospective and practising teachers of English and school owners , including:
- short seminars, webinars and workshops for teachers on specialist topics
- longer courses on various aspects of English Language Teaching
- a range of consultancy services for language schools.
In addition, as an authorised Cambridge Assessment English Centre, ACE TEFL offers Cambridge CELTA and DELTA courses.
The Cambridge CELTA is the most well-known certificate for teachers of English to speakers of other languages. It focuses on developing practical skills with teaching practice and is suitable for new teachers starting their career or teachers with some experience who want to develop their skills. At ACE TEFL, you can complete the CELTA course online or face to face; you can choose to do the CELTA over 4 or 5 weeks during the summer or you can take your time and attend a part-time course over a few months. When you have successfully completed your course, you will get the Cambridge CELTA certificate, the gold standard teaching qualification worldwide.
The Cambridge DELTA is an advanced certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages; it provides a blend of theory and practice which deepens your knowledge and understanding of English language teaching. DELTA is taken over three modules – you can take as many modules as you like, in any order. Once you have successfully completed all DELTA modules, you will get the Cambridge DELTA diploma, the most advanced professional qualification in ELT. At ACE TEFL, you can complete the DELTA modules online or face to face, in full-time or part-time mode, in any order you like: the choice is yours!
