HAU Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies reaccredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation

The Hellenic American Union Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies has been reaccredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation through August 2024.

At its August 2015 meeting, the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) reviewed the report of the Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies (CALLS) in application for reaccreditation. Following its review, the Commission extended its accreditation of CALLS for another nine years. First accredited in 2009, CALLS is the only institution in Greece that is accredited by the CEA.

In its letter to the Hellenic American Union announcing its decision, the CEA stated that:

“The Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies, Hellenic American Union is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period August 2015 through August 2024 and agrees to uphold the CEA standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. CEA is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the U.S. “
