The inaugural QLS Online Book Club Competition took place on Saturday 17 April 2021, to celebrate World Book Day. More than 550 students from across Greece participated in 5 sessions according to linguistic level. 45 winners received medals, certificates and special prizes. The first cycle of the QLS Book Club, including the Competition, was kindly sponsored by Burlington Books.
The QLS Book Cub was established in December 2020 in order to inspire and instil in students a love of reading. It was endorsed by acclaimed author Lucinda Dickens Hawksley at an award-winning Christmas online event commemorating the 150th anniversary of the loss of her ancestor, classic author Charles Dickens. To date, the QLS Book Club numbers over 850 members from QLS schools throughout the country. In the summer of 2021, QLS Book Club members shall welcome the Summer Edition of the QLS Book Club with more exciting reads, courtesy of Burlington Books.
